The object of the Rotary Dictionary Project is to give every student a personal dictionary of their very own that will serve them at least through elementary and middle school.  For many, this is the first book that they own.  Even in this age of computers, a dictionary has value-- it is easy to use and students can write in it.

Many teachers see this as a key to better reading, speech, and writing.  These skills will improve student performance in other subjects as well.

Volunteers give a lesson on how to use the dictionary and briefly explain Rotary service in the community and around the world.
