The Rotary Club of Hilo Bay will sponsor its 18th Annual Oktoberfest on Saturday, Oct. 7, 2016 at Sangha Hall (398 Kilauea Avenue, Hilo) from 5:00 to 8:30p.m. Enjoy an evening of food, music, auctions, and costume contests with friends to raise funds that help Rotary International eradicate polio as well as fund community service projects in East Hawaii.  The public is invited.

Bavarian festivities, Hilo style with traditional foods associated with Oktoberfest in Germany (Würstl (sausages), Brezel (pretzels), Sauerkraut and/or Rotkohl/Blaukraut (red cabbage) and Weisswurst (a white sausage)); mugfuls of beer and wine; live joyful music; dress in costume or not; bid on a diversity of auction items.  Authentic German tastes by guest chef, Albert Jeyte of Kilauea Lodge.
