Guest Speaker
Guest Speaker Dr. James Gude, December 2,2020
Wednesday’s presentation was Physicians & Global Offsite Care by James K. Gude, MD. Dr. Gude specializes in ICU and working in ERs and is a Professor of Medicine at several California Universities. He is a member of the Sunrise Rotary Club in Sebastapol, California. Through Rotary Grants he has been able to practice medicine globally using tele-medicine. Dr Gude and students meet and examine patients during Grand Rounds using tele-medicine in the United States and around the world. Currently there is emphasis on the diagnosis and treatment of COVID-19 and a hotline has been set up to assist. Through the program professionals can complete their CE classes for free due to the Rotary Grants. Tele-medicine is also advocating for Electronic Medical Record Adoption. To assist they have partnered with Heberden Telemedicine Foundation to microfinance with 3 to 5 year term loans so the small hospitals can adopt the program and work with whoever they choose.

Happy Dollars
Sharon Scheele - ($100) Happy for having another birthday. She would like her donation to go to HRYF.
Richard Cunningham - ($100) Happy. Monday his gallery had the highest retail day ever and his shop has surpassed last years revenue, despite COVID.
Art Taniguchi - ($10) $5 sad for the passing of Nate Chang. $5 happy for the Junior Achievement's upcoming recognition of Mike Fujimoto, Jacki DeLuz, and Susan Labrenz.
James Tyrin - ($5) Happy. His son reported that he was practicing basketball in the yard and a man walking in the subdivision complemented him on his skills and then told him the joke: What is a bear with no teeth called? Answer: A Gummy Bear and James realized that it was Steve J. who had been walking in the neighborhood and getting himself acquainted with his neighbors.
Tim Hansen - ($5) Happy. He appreciates our club and our generosity.
Alan Okinaka - ($20) Happy as he graduated to walking 2 miles every day.
