Reminder:  Dark on November 23 (Thanksgiving)
No meeting on November 23 to give thanks for all the good that comes our way.
 
Reminder:  Joint meeting on November 29
Attend the joint meeting with the Tuesday lunch Rotary Club at Hilo Hawaiian at noon on November 29.  This joint meeting is in lieu of our regular meeting on November 30.  Our next regular Wednesday morning meeting is on December 7.

Weinberg Grant Application
Chester C. announced that applications are now being accepted for our annual Weinberg Foundation project.  Deadline is November 21.  The application is available for download here; please share it with a worthy nonprofit who could use our assistance.

This Week's Speaker
On the Front Lines Administering Polio Vaccinations
Most of us donate money to the Polio Fund.  Our own Trevor Rodrigues has donated himself.  Trevor joined a Rotary mission to Nigeria and Senegal to assist with vaccinations.  Trevor had witnessed the sufferings of polio victims first hand when he had lived in India.  Trevor described a typical day in the life of a Rotary volunteer.
