Chester Cabral announced B&G Club Golf tournament on June 10 at Mauna Lani and on June 11 at Kohanaiki – can still register
 
Camp Agape
James T. reminded members of volunteer event to assist at Camp Agape, 7:00 to 4:00, at Paani Ranch on Saturday June 10 to help with archery, horseback riding, relays, and other activities.
 
Rotary Quiz
If answer is correct, pay club $1, if incorrect, pay $2
  • Who will be club president next year? Stephen answered – paid $1
  • February 23, 1905 – First Rotary meeting.  How many attended?
  • Steve J. guessed 4 and was wrong so paid $2
  • Art answered correctly & paid $1.
  • How do you spell Oktoberfest?  Sandy misspelled & paid $2.

Alan O. led the meeting.  Kevin is on a month-long business trip.
 
Stories
Highlights of visit to the Rotary Club of Higashi-Hiroshima
Club member and native Japanese, Miyuki Lee, organized the highlights of the trip to visit the Rotary Club of Higashi-Hiroshima:
  • Katie talked about the first day and the tour of a pottery factory​.  
  • Dale talked about the formal program.
  • Chester talked about dinner after formal program and then the stay at a farm house and visiting a tea house.
  • Yok talked about program, bowing, to flags then bowing to audience.
  • Mike talked about the cultural presentation after dinner and the dragon dance.
