Today’s Guest Speaker, Mary Begier

Mary Begier is the epitome of the old adage: When you want something
done, ask a busy person.

She previously served as President of the Rotary Club of Hilo Bay, where she was named Rotarian of the Year in 2001.

 Mary has served as the chair of commissioners for the Hawaii State Foundation on Culture and the Arts, served on the board of the Big Island Housing Foundation, and appointed to the County of Hawaii's Banyan Drive Redevelopment Authority by Mayor Kenoi.

Community service is a priority for Mary, and in addition to her Rotary work, she's been an active member of organizations including the Aloha Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association, the Junior League of Honolulu, the Rural South Hilo Community Association, the State of Hawaii Environment Council (OEQC), and the County of Hawaii Real Property Tax Task Force.
