    • $399 until further notice
  • Hiroshima Club 
    • Donated $1500 to  the earthquake that happened in Japan.
      • Junichi donate: $50 to Hiroshima Club.
    •  Japan Earthquake Relief will be an item at the next Board Meeting.

Guest Speaker

Dr. Kevin Kunz spoke about the fentanyl crisis on the Big Island on behalf of the Hawai`i Island
Fentanyl Task Force. More information about the task force can be found here:
https://www.hiftf.org
Boxes of Narcan were distributed. The nasal spray can be used to save the life of a person who
has overdosed on fentanyl. There are no side effects.

  • $10. Steve. Baby Stanley is 90 days old.
  • $50. Mary. Mary spoke about connections she has through Rotary and other community organizations that enabled her to assist an individual moving to Hilo from South Africa
  • $5. Sharon. She just received her electric bill. Since Mike Mabuni washed her solar panels, her bill has dropped to $114.
  • $50. Tom. Went to an see U2 at The Sphere in Las Vegas and had a good experience.
  • $10. Steve gave more happy dollars and shared that some time ago he went to an Elton John concert in Vegas, and didn’t have as much fun as Tom did at the event he attended.
  • $50. Steve. Funds donated for HRYF. Wyatt is learning the names of body parts. He says them in Japanese, except for “nose.”
  • $50. Art. Two former Japanese consuls who served in Hawai`i have donated funds for Maui fire relief.
  • $10. Virginia. Offered a reminder for contributions to Rotary Foundation. The RI president is recognizing recent contributors to Foundation.
  • $100. Mike. Half the funds are to support our sister club in Japan. The other half is to celebrate his return from Switzerland.
  • $100. Dale. Donated funds for Japan Earthquake Relief
