District Conference 2021

  • Will be held for the first time in Hilo commemorating 100 years of Rotary on Big Island at Grand Naniloa Hotel on May 14, 15 and 16, 2021.
          The District is looking for volunteers to head up the decorations for the Conference.  If you are interested in being a part of the committee (or even leading the committee) please contact me.

State Department of Health and UH Nursing request Rotarians to help for the face mask observation.
One or a pair of volunteers will count the number of people who (a) wear the mask correctly, (b) wear the mask in correctly and (c) don't wear the mask at a designated location from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Saturdays:

Recognitions/Announcements

Dale T. had his picture in the Hawaii Tribune Herald with the Exchange Club.  They were hanging a new flag.  Dale donated $25 to Rotary for the recognition.

Doug A. was $20 happy because he had never seen Dale T. up before 8:00 am and Dale was at the Post Office at 5:30 am and in the rain.

Steve J. was $20 happy.  He is planning to put a pool in at his home and the permit took only 30 days.  He was very happy with his experience with the Planning Department.

Virginia J. was $5 happy because we are going back to the Veterans Center to donate the iPads.  She went to the Saturday market and bought a beautiful fall orchid.

Tim H. was $7 happy.  He is back on the island and was COVID tested 3 times, all negative.

Alan O. was $20 happy.  He was able to renew his driver's license through the mail.  He had an additional $10 for Miyuki's manju and curry from her Farmer's Market stall.

Barbara H. was $10 happy.  She wants to recognize Trevor R. for his work.  Her dog was hit by a car and he came in to help her.  The dog is doing fine.

Miyuki is celebrating her cat's 14 years of life with her.  Miyuki is experiencing pet loss but celebrating his life.  She had $10 to donate.

Geoli N. is $10 for welcoming her into RCHB and another $10 as a thank you for allowing her to present today.

Em D. is $20 happy.  She wanted to thank Sharon for bestowing her extra PH points to her and also it was nice to see everyone today.
