District Conference 2021
- Will be held for the first time in Hilo commemorating 100 years of Rotary on Big Island at Grand Naniloa Hotel on May 14, 15 and 16, 2021.
The District is looking for volunteers to head up the decorations for the Conference. If you are interested in being a part of the committee (or even leading the committee) please contact me.

State Department of Health and UH Nursing request Rotarians to help for the face mask observation.
One or a pair of volunteers will count the number of people who (a) wear the mask correctly, (b) wear the mask in correctly and (c) don't wear the mask at a designated location from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Saturdays:

Virginia Juettner said that the Veteran's Center gave us a seasonal basket that is full of Hawaiian style snacks. It will be donated to the club for auction. Below is the picture of Bob and Virginia accepting the basket.

Virginia and Bob J. are $10 happy because they went to the D5000 website and got some Rotary shirts on sale. They are also headed to Kona to bring in the new year.
Art T. is $10 happy. His background picture was a beautiful picture of the activity at the Halemaumau Crater. He went very early in the morning and there were no crowds. He also wants to wish us Happy New Year.
Marlene is $2 happy. She got her COVID vaccine.
Paula U. is $10 happy. She got to see her grandchildren on Christmas Day and looks forward to when she can spend some time with them.
Sharon S. is $10 happy. They had a family gathering of 8 together for Christmas.
Junichi N. is $10 happy. He and his wife have been in Japan for 3 weeks now and they are healthy. Stuff is also cheap! He got a head of cabbage bigger than his head and it costs $1.00.
Mary B. is $10 happy. She is looking forward to 2021. She ended 2020 by breaking her leg!
