Announcements by the President

The song A Spoonful of Sugar, from the movie Mary Poppins, was inspired by the songwriters son who had just received his Polio vaccine.  Knowing that his son was terrified of injections, he asked how the vaccination went and it was a drop of a sugar cube.  It's a small world.

District Conference 2022 -- will be held May 20-22, 2022 at the Aulani, a Disney Resort and Spa.  Early registration is open now -- $365 pays for your registration and meal package.

District Conference 2023

  • Will be held in Hilo.  The committee is looking for volunteers to help with the planning and a co-chair from East Hawaii.
 

Future Rotary International Conventions

  • Taipei: June 12-16, 2021 Rotary International has announced that the International Conference will be virtual due to the ongoing threat of the COVID virus.  Stay tuned for further news.  Registration is open here:  https://convention.rotary.org/en

Janell K. announced that invoices for next years club dues have gone out.  If you want to donate to RI, please contact Janell at jkuamooRCHB@outlook.com.

Sharon S. reminded us that when we make a contribution to RI, we need to make it a "share" so we will see the money come back to our club in 3 years.
