Rotaract Update

Active, fun, dedicated, reliable. Our Rotaractors make us proud. President Brittany Luna, Vice President Brooke Higa, and Historian Kimi Taguchi gave an impressive report of their activities.

The UHH club is 43 members strong. They participated in 12 events so far this academic year of 2016-17 including Walk to end Alzheimer’s, Ginger Eradication, Mac Nut harvesting, Oktoberfest, OCC, Ironman, Walk-a-Mile, and Veteran’s Day Parade. It's not all work and no play. They have socials every month-- game night, Halloween, dodgeball, BBQs, Hapuna Beach.

Upcoming events include:

Relay Team Olympics-- fundraiser for Relay for Life; organized by Rotaractors on-campus games with other clubs; Rotaractors team did well at the February 18 event;
Superheroes for Hope-- will be dressed in costumes and sell burgers like the Hulk Burger (three patties);
Relay for Life-- several members have been personally impacted by Cancer and relay for someone they loved or love; currently 2nd place out of 15 teams; goal to reach $2500; way to help-- purchase luminaries (lighted bag that are lined up along the track); donate online; come to car washes; register and join online (Google UHH Relay for Life).
